Our Team

Our Trustees

Sutton Trust Community Group trustees are responsible in law for the charity, its assets and activities.

Gavin Tams

Treasurer & Trustee

I joined the Sutton Trust Community Group in 2003 and became a leader in the Youth Forum, eventually joining the committee.

After relocating in 2009, I rejoined the group in 2019, once again becoming a committee member and treasurer.

Alongside my community work, I enjoy gaming, film, and comic books. I also had the opportunity to pursue my childhood dream of becoming a professional wrestler.

John Price

Trustee

Hello, I’m John, a long-term resident of Abbey Hulton, where I’ve called home for 44 years.

Although I’m now in retirement, my previous occupation involved working on the kilns.

These days, I spend my spare time tending to my garden. I’ve been actively volunteering at the Sutton Trust for approximately 14 years so I delighted to serve as a Trustee of the organisation.

Michael Prince

Trustee

Hello, I’m Mick, and I am delighted to be a trustee of the Sutton Trust Community Group. My roots run deep in Abbey Hulton, as I’ve been a resident here for my entire life.

When I’m not volunteering, I thoroughly enjoy my hobbies, which include gardening, fishing, and indulging my creative side through art. – Retirement has granted me the time and freedom to pursue these passions.

Pauline Grosvenor

Trustee

I’m Pauline Grosvenor, and I’ve been a proud resident of Abbey Hulton for the past decade. Prior to my retirement, I served as a learning support assistant at Werrington Young Offenders, where I had the privilege of contributing to the growth and development of many young individuals. Besides my professional background, I’m also a loving mother to two wonderful sons and a proud grandmother to an adorable grandson. Additionally, you can often find me at the Milton Baptist Church.

Sean Warren

Trustee

I joined as a Trustee in 2020. Outside of STCG, I work as the caretaker at our local primary school and serve as the Church Warden of St. John’s Church and Welcome Centre in Abbey Hulton.

During my free time, I like to binge watch Netflix and enjoy playing Crown Green Bowls.

Matthew J. Bridger

Trustee

I joined as a Trustee in 2022 and I am dedicated to making a positive impact in the local community. Locally I am a School Governor at the Discovery Academy. With a passion for entrepreneurship, I have founded several successful businesses in the South East and established a charity five years ago to support people in the region and in 2019 I was elected as one of the youngest councillors in Kent. In my free time, I enjoy travelling and exploring new places.
